FR5000/FR6000 6.25 kHz Repeater
The FR5000/FR6000 series is the first Icom “IDAS” 6.25 kHz digital capable repeater, in
addition to the IC‐F3161D, F5061D series radios. The “IDAS” system increases existing
12.5 kHz channel capability and offers easy migration from analog to digital.

Digital/Analog Mixed Mode Operation
• The FR5000/FR6000 can receive both analog and digital signals on a single channel.

• The IDAS repeater has a network interface and can be connected to a LAN or the Internet
via Ethernet cable.
Digital Trunking Capability*
• The repeater will have digital Trunking capability in the future which will allow further
effective channel management.
19‐inch rack mount; 2U height low profile design
• A 2U higher configuration allows you to stack multiple units in an industry standard 19‐
inch rack
Two RF channel modules in one unit
• Two optional RF modules can be installed in a chassis to reduce installation space, while
the RF modules can be programmed and operated independently. LEDs on the front panel
show both channel conditions.
50W output at 50% duty cycle, 25W 100% duty cycle operation
D‐SUB 25‐pin accessory connector
• FR5000 series has a programmable D‐SUB 25‐pin accessory connector for connecting
various Trunking controllers or external remote control devices. Also,
modulation/demodulation signals can input/output from the D‐SUB connector.
